      Pros

      Great if you like to work independently possible to have flexible hours if you are allowed more than 2 sales associates You can make decent commission if you're in the right location. Good experience if planning on a career in retail sales. Pretty good benefits and 401k (company matches 1/2)

      Cons

      Starting salary is laughable, part-time workers are paid minimum wage and are usually disgruntled. Can be mind-numbingly boring if in a low volume store since you are not allowed to have a radio and sometimes spend hours waiting in silence for a customer. Work alone most of the time

      Pros

      Can be a fun place to work. When you are familiar with the products and what they do for the body, it becomes a piece of cake. Do your daily duties and go home, it's easy!!

      Cons

      The pay and promotional monies (a form of commission) is not enough to support a family.

      Fun to talk to customers, great 30% discount, quiet at times, decent pay and benefits, commision program. Quick to promote.

      Cons

      Almost no comission for part time employees on GNC products, things that we are forced to sell! Too much pressure on store managers, not enough responsibilities for part timers. Everything falls on the manager, payroll, sales goals, training, emails at home computer, monthly planograms every month!, intense sale change every 2 months. Don't prepare you for management. Lots of sale pressure! Be prepared for the number one managers in your region to be fat smokers who would never take a multivitamin! They need to take a serious look at their stores. OMS program, P3 program, Gold Cards, Multivitamin percents, now emails and whatever is the flavor of the month?! What ever happened to these things coming naturally from talking and engaging customers!
