Pros

I started working for GNC over 7 yrs ago and hourly pay was minimum but promotional money was great! Made great even with the min. wage and only .20 raise yearly. Which by the way, went down after 5 Years .10 cent raise and last raise was .07 cents after 7 years. Even after the Trump tax break for corporations! GO FIGURE!!

Cons

As I said above in Pro’s which guess was not a Pro hourly pay is the lowest and raises are a joke!! Promotional money on your sales of certain items use to be the main source of income. Now that promotional money’s is almost nonexistent, there is hardly any income with that low hourly pay. And believe me, they’ve got you working much, much harder for no pay!! And now hours have almost come to the point that it’s a complete joke to work there! Oh yeah I must not forget they also lowered our discount on employee purchases. So yes, after 7 years with GNC, I think it’s safe to say if they keep this up they will go under.

Pros

The discount is alright and if you like a lot of free time then it’s for you.

Cons

Extremely high turnover for stores. I managed a store and found myself there 10 hours a day 7 days a week. My first boss did everything she could to help me be successful, but when nobody wants to work at GNC it’s hard to find help. I wouldn’t recommend working here unless you like having unrealistic sales quotas and like weekly phone meetings about how we should do better. Also, never ask for a day off or there will be some passive aggressive phone calls from the bosses.

Pros

nice customers, though they are scarce to GNC stores

Cons

pushings pro boxes and horrible deals on customers who are smart enough to know that GNC is way over priced and their products are not pure but filled with fillers and low end products. Don't be fooled by their scams!!! Think about it folks, when you walk by a GNC their is never anyone in the stores! They are in dire financial trouble ,and down over 50% as a company. With a debt of over 1.3 billion dollars..The writing is on the wall....
