Pros

ROWE (result oriented work environment )for some brands is fantastic. Good chances of advancement if you know how to play politics. Substantial discount of clothing. The Folsom street location is great. Cafeteria food is good. Weekly "touch base" meeting with your superior is very valuable.

Cons

Due to the fact that Gap's culture of the company is so political, the management teams are very stressed out, and there is a lot backstabbing, making it near impossible to have a direct and honest dialogue. Recruiters make promises that aren't respected. Leadership changes so often that teams are constantly destabilized. Very bland workforce, everyone looks and sounds the same. The biggest problem is the salaries range. It doesn't take into account that San Francisco is the most expensive city in the U.S. (more than NYC), and unless you are upper management, you may really struggle making ends meet. That's inexcusable, especially considering the very long hours that we work each work.

Pros

Benefits like PTO and flexible work hours.

Cons

Why is it that with all the many mistakes that the company has made with hiring awful management and executives, that they still can't get it together? People at the top are so far in the clouds that they can't even understand what the actual worker bees do. There's also a very big class distinction used and referred to as "higher" level and "lower" level. Talk about making your hardworking employees feel small. They don't value their employees nor do they care about a work/life balance as advertised. With numerous changes, work loads and areas are crossing and rising dramatically. Also, talking to HR gets you no where but out the door.

Pros

The company offers a competitive salary, flexible schedule, stability

Cons

Back stabbing senior management and HR Department. The most immoral, corrupt people I've ever had the displeasure to work with in my career.
