OVERTIME AFTER 50 HOURS!!
POOR GUN TRAINING/SECURITY TRAINING - If you can shoot your gun semi-okay, you will pass the class.
You will wait around 4 weeks before you are licensed to carry a gun, so you will work in the vault with the best people in the company. Unfortunately they make the new people go out and "throw coin" - You will be responsible for throwing anywhere from 500-1000+ heavy boxes of coins broke down into
Quarters $500
Nickels $250
Dimes $250
Pennies $50
You will do this yourself. You will do this in the area of the building where there is 0 air conditioning.
You will ride as a 3rd person on trucks to get training, where you will meet the worst people in the company.
85% of your co-workers that you will be working with, that are responsible for your safety, are overweight, out of shape, impatient and inattentive to your surroundings.
A few people carry HiPoints, another carries a 3 inch snub nose. The others actually carry guns you can rely on. Yes, really. I'm not joking.
Horrible work conditions when on trucks - You're lucky if the air conditioning on these trucks work.
The truck is extremely over-rated for what you actually carry, resulting in horrendous suspension. Not only that, all of the trucks have above 300k miles on them. The suspension has never been replaced in these trucks. Many are out of alignment, one is out of alignment so badly that you have to turn the wheel 45 degrees to the right just to go straight, all of them are leaking fluids. The ride is extremely rough and actually give me back pain.
The trucks leak when it rains, so you get wet.
You're lucky if the air ride seats work. You'll probably end up sitting on a bucket instead of an actual seat.
"The ELITE" is how id describe the old guys working there for 20+ years. The union is only to benefit them, and they will complain constantly while you ride in their truck.
You are hired on as a Messenger/Driver but when you actually end up working on the trucks, the veterans will drive the truck the whole time and make you jump the whole time. You will be jumping in and out of this truck 45+ times a day, not only carrying cash, but heavy boxes of coin. BUT WAIT! You do have the luxury of sitting in the truck at stops at the malls, or any store where there are good looking girls working, because they'll gladly jump up to go in there!
Typical days are 8-13 hours depending on the route you get put on for that day. Under 4 boxes of coin? Carry it on your shoulder! If you don't know, a box of quarters is $500. It's not much at first, but being the only one doing work and carrying multiple boxes of coin on your shoulder it gets tiring fast.
If you ride with someone that has worked there for 1-5 years they will switch you out half-way to drive or jump like they should.
You are appointed a 30 minute lunch break by state law, however when you work on the trucks you will "just stop and grab food real quick" - Many people will flat out tell you they will not stop for food so the route isn't delayed an extra 30 minutes, forcing you to buy expensive junk food out of the gas stations you pickup at.
Drive the truck? No training at all. Here's the keys to a 26,000 gross-vehicle-weight-rated vehicle with air brakes. Good luck!
Operating the forklift? Jump on and figure it out.
I have never been so dissatisfied with a job that I had to seek somewhere on the internet where I could warn potential employees, but I am writing this whole-heatedly in the best interest for anyone looking to work here, find another job.
