      It was once a special place, maybe it can be again

      Pros

      The people are all great and care about you and your growth. Your hard work and skills matter. Your value is typically noticed and rewarded. Relaxed and productive environment.

      Cons

      They seem to have fallen into the trap of changing for the sake of change when projects aren't being booked. Many philosophy, structure, staffing, and focus changes within a short time period recently; leading to confusion and uneasiness. A majority of business comes from one client, making them overly dependent on them, and causing them to make questionable decisions. Decisions which may temporarily benefit the bottom line, but ultimately make it less of a special place to work for, or to work with, than it used to be.

      No long term growth opportunity

      Pros

      Very few pros. Used to be a fun company, but after multiple layoffs and then the losing many senior people after the layoffs, Geneca lost its way. Its okay for right of college for some good experience and to get to know the market.

      Cons

      No real advancement - its a consulting company. You are there to make money for the owner of the company. You can move from one level of developer to another or one level of consultant to another. Not good for real long-term growth. If you're on the bench, be looking for other opportunities.

      Pros

      Good place to work possibly for a year or two right out of college as a last resort

      Cons

      Poor leadership, negative working environment if you have to work at the office
