The longer you are in, the less growth there is. I was training new people coming in with no previous experience who were making 3-5 dollars more than me. At the beginning of the year, there was zero overtime and fears of layoffs, but currently we are understaffed and they are desperate for anyone to take a shift. It feels like since I started a number of years ago, things have gotten more and more inconsistent. Metrics in the call center have gotten increasingly toxic as well. It feels like quantity over quality and for those of us that want to do better for our customers, that is frustrating.

Doesn’t know how to be a larger company. Culture is by far one of the worst I’ve been to in my career. People are dispensable commodities, leadership is out of touch. Generac will give you all sorts of “grow with Generac” propaganda, but often hires from outside or makes up excuses why you are not qualified for the position. Company leadership has an old school mentality. Work from home flexibility is going away, even though it’s rare to see director and above actually in the office Monday or Tuesdays. Most people here are using it as a stepping stone to something different.
