Pros
People for the most part are nice. Work can be interesting and challenging. Enjoy living by the water in Rhode Island. The union seems to take good care of its constituents. Great work life balance. Lots of work and good company outlook. No layoffs.
Cons
Parking is the worst, if you plan on commuting to work give up and live within walking distance. The town of New London seems to go out of their way to make life difficult for EB employees. Mountains of paperwork can discourage any productivity, for example a checklist for a checklist. Have seen diminishing benefits, raises, and overall perks. This includes a reduction in paying for grad classes. EB virtually pays nothing. Constant turn over in engineering staff. Working here will suck any passion you may have if life and leave you contemplating your life choices. Different group promote at different rates and compensation. There is a lack of seating, new hires will be floating in conference rooms and hallways until a vacancy is found. Not to mention a new hire may be without a computer for weeks. There is a culture of promoting solely on time spent at the company adding no benefit to working hard. Management has stopped all vacuuming done in offices. For engineering would recommend going somewhere else.
