Pros
- Job security - People (not management) are generally great - 401k match - If you are clever, you can pretty much do nothing and do well there
Cons
- Stressful with little reward - Management plays favorites - Salary (each raise funnels salaries to the same amount as everyone else in your pay grade regardless of effort put in) - Paid time off is below market standard - No paid maternity / paternity leave - Forced to work overtime (sometimes paid) - You will not learn anything useful to progress your career - The only way you get promoted is after a fixed amount of time and you are one of their favorites - Promotion opportunities are limited - If you work there too long, you will not be marketable anywhere else - Parking is really bad
