Thank you for taking the time to post a review and for giving us five stars! We have shared your feedback with management. Point of clarification on the 401(k): Genesis10 does offer its employees the opportunity to invest in a 401(k) retirement account.

Pros

The training had a lot of value for me and I learned things that were useful for me when working with a client. I was placed on a technology team in a Fortune 500 company where I had an opportunity to learn from experienced people. People I have worked with at Genesis10 and my client have been overall kind and professional.

Cons

The training was challenging and required 40 - 60 hours total per week for 3 months. The pay is low for a high cost of living area.

Pros

Training includes very useful material if you know nothing about programming. Some if you do. Will get you into the field if you can't get a job anywhere else. Pay is low for software, but enough and very worth it to get experience for future jobs. Less sketchy than Revature, and can tell you which city you'll be in before you start. Generally pleasant to work with unless you have a problem.

Cons

$20,000 weight hanging over your head. Zero mobility if you get placed in a bad position i.e. no skill development, little mentoring, overworked, little coding, irrelevant tech, etc. About a 40% chance of getting a bad position, from my and my coworkers' experience . They will expect you to work after hours and on call if the client demands it.
