Pros

Unlimited PTO. Fully Remote. Average/Good Med and Dental Benefits.

Cons

Just an overall strange place to work. I worked here for 5 months before being laid off. It almost feels like a fever dream. There were hardly and communications between myself and teammates. My manager had no clue what he was doing. I would essentially get randomly assigned tasking in Jira with no context. If I needed help, there was little to almost no documentation for reference. Lower pay than average. CEO comes across like most - wants to seem super cool and likable but does not sincerely care about employees as indicated by constant layoffs.

Pros

Amazing professionals and great technology

Cons

Genesys is being refurbished to be sold, and new temporary senior leadership has been brought in to manage the transition. Right after posting an excellent third quarter, and being featured in an analyst report as industry leaders, the new CMO fired a bunch of top talent and replaced them with Yes Men/Women. The new culture is one where decisions are made at the top behind closed doors and handed down for unquestioning execution. Pushback is seen as insubordination, and people are afraid to do things the "wrong way." It's a shame. It used to be a place for creativity, collaboration, and mutual success.

So you want to be Iconic... how quaint.

Pros

Hard to find them these days.

Cons

Company is over processed. They either do not work or people hide behind them. Pushing you to a process is the new, "Its not my job." Contradictions are every where. They want to cut expenses everywhere and charge customers for every individual service, yet think nothing of sending sales people for, team, regional and area QBRs.. so expensive and redundant. They sell Customer Experience / Customer Service technologies but treat customers poorly. Low level and middle management is not empowered to effect change at all. Many other departments are completely apathetic or arrogant to sales and customers. Products are old, tired and not meeting the market's needs, retrofitting legacy tech is cumbersome and expensive for both Genesys and Customers.

Thank you for taking the time to write. As the leader in the Customer Experience industry, we strive to be iconic in everything we do; it's a high bar and we work hard every day to meet this goal. I hope that all of our employees feel comfortable approaching our management team if they feel that there are steps we can take to continue to make Genesys a great place to work, and to continue to be the most trusted partner to our own customers. I see you've moved on; best of luck to you in your endeavors. ...Tracy Cote (Chief People Officer)
