Pros

To get pay and sort of work for a big company in general. Slow pace work env, it's great for lazy people.

Cons

If company don't make profit, you will be the first to know about it. People get scare and worry about redundancy and sudden disappearance of some usual faces around. Slow growth, slow technology, employees lacked skills, wrong promotion, bad HR and a lot of office politics. If it used to be good then at least I was never part of it. Bad and poor management or no management. People come and go in the office, no set rules and no tracking. Unfair systems going on internally.

It’s interesting that some of the things you apparently had issues with during your 10 year employment run at Genesys are the very types of things that most people appreciate; flexible hours, work life balance, and long-tenure. Our rapid overall growth over the past few years has certainly made for some changes, most of which I think are very positive. We definitely strive for transparency – as you said, if things are going well, or if things are not going well…we’ll tell our teams. As with many relationships, sometimes people grow apart. Sounds like you have moved on to something else and I wish you the best of luck in your new endeavor. I truly feel this is the best company I have ever worked for. San Francisco office is awesome! They have ping pong tables, 20K+ coffee machines that make better coffee and hot chocolate than Starbucks itself. They bring fresh fruits like grapes, pears, plums, apples, and bananas every morning. They have free soda drinks and snacks. On Thursdays they provide hot lunches. Employees at Genesys are liberal, open minded and uniquely different. This really resonates well with me. Genesys embodies these values and celebrates being different far more than any other company I have worked at. Even the higher up managers are friendly and approachable. They have an open door policy. If you don't like something or have an idea, don't hesitate to speak to the manager at Genesys. They are very welcoming and love hearing you out. At the office, they support all of the cultural people that work here. We have groups from India, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Spain, Japan, China, Brazil and others. So many techies and great people work here who really know what multicultural means. Genesys has high potential to grow in the next couple of years. I am really excited about my future here.

Cons

I really don't see any cons. I only wished Salt Lake City office was as big as San Francisco office.
