      Pros

      The culture is very open - everyone from the engineering VP to the QA testers are friendly and approachable. When I joined the team, my director was enthusiastic about introducing me to a new project that would help me achieve significant learning outcomes. The company hosts various tech-related events such as hackathons, which also adds value to being an employee at Genesys.

      Cons

      If I had to say something negative about Genesys, the salary isn't exactly spectacular for co-op students. Also, the company does not provide living compensations.

      Good growing company, sometimes difficult to get things done

      Pros

      Growing company with great vision. Strong EMEA leadership. Well positioned at the top end of the market with sophisticated solutions.

      Cons

      Highly matrix-ed structure sometimes makes it difficult to get things done. Must ask lots of people or go really high up to get someone to say yes. HQ in Frimley very nice facility, but remote. Sometimes not focused on the customer enough.

I agree with you that sometimes a matrixed structure has its challenges; we have been working hard on improving this with various internal initiatives and I believe we've gotten a lot more streamlined and aligned.       Very professional work ethic and knowledgeable employees. Managers work hard to help develop your skills and show appreciation and recognition to your progress.
