Starting with interview process which involved 5 people and was extremely disorganized. My interview was done remotely and only 1 person ever came on the camera while rest were on mute, had switched off their video and did not participate in the process at all. One interviewer even dropped off in the middle of the interview without letting anyone know. They scheduled my interview at 6:30 pm on a weekday. During the interview process I was given close to no information on the client or the projects I will be working on. During the interview process I had mentioned that I would need a month to relocate to a new city which they were okay with initially. After joining, suddenly my manager started asking me to move immediately. So with basically no help, I moved to a new city within a week because the manager and client wanted me to do so. This was extremely stressful but managers in this company don't really care. Two weeks into the job I was sure that I did not fit the role, the role required somebody with significant experience, probably someone with 7+yrs exp. while here I was with 1.5 years, pushed into the worst client and project ever. This was a decision taken by Genpact management for obviously ensuring they have a cash flow. My clients were absolutely awful, I was being overworked spending 12+ hrs a day working on projects with unrealistic deadlines. My managers and clients would call and message me late evenings (post 10 pm), on weekends and also during my personal time-off just to discuss work. It felt like I was maneuvering through things all by myself because my manager gave no guidance at all. This was possibly the worst decision I've ever taken and I'm very glad to have moved on.
