Pros

Genpact is a good place to learn and develop. The employees are given opportunity to be a part of decision making. Lots of training and you can enroll in any of the available training's in the L&D portal. Great work life balance. Decent job security as compared to other IT firms.

Cons

1. The salary is very less almost 20 to 30 percent below the market average 2. You may start your carrier with a salary as less a 10,000 3. The hikes are average 4. The cafeteria is not good, it is congested (Hyd DLF campus) despite many complaints they do not change the catering service provider 5. The work hours are odd in most of the cases and no additional benefits are provided for working on these hours 6. Getting a promotion not only depends on performance but also on relation with your immediate manager and your visibility in the floor 7. Very less onsite opportunity and the existing ones are grabbed by the middle management and the higher management (a person at engineer/ senior engineer hardly goes abroad, Onsite is not rotational, if a mid level person goes onsite he never returns back) 8. The presence of Software in the organization is less, it is still primarily a BPO company. 9. Need approvals and tickets for each and every thing and lots of red tape even for installing a basic software like Notepad++, eclipse, Java etc
