Pros

They offer a lot of training and development

Cons

I've worked with this company since the very beginning of BI JAX, where I helped on-board and create processes during the ramp up project. I started with 20 employees, and there are now over 700 employees. This place is what you would consider the definition of hostile and harassment to be. As a manger, I've watched people get bullied, harassed, physically harmed, and violated. Employees have literally been beat up outside of the building, cars have been vandalized, drugs have been done, and upper management will not do anything about it. They are so worried about their turn-over rate that they have actually refused to terminate employees that have hurt others. Now, if you decide to stand up against this, you best believe that you WILL be the one getting terminated. Basically, you walk in their and take whatever that day throws at you, without saying anything or doing anything about it. I have watched so many people break down because they just cannot take the stress anymore. Good luck reaching out to the Ombudsman for assistance, as they NEVER return communication. It's sad because I did see a great future with the company itself, but the site I'm at has shown me that discrimination, harassment, and bullying are still a very real part of the workforce. Good luck walking away stress free.

Pros

A truly global company, I had the opportunity to work with a marketing team that was spread throughout the US, Europe, and India. The majority of the people were great, very smart, innovative and helpful. The pay was fair, but as always could have been better.

Cons

The culture at Genpact is heavy Indian...and by that I mean if you aren't Indian you can kiss any chance of upward mobility goodbye. Leadership promotes their own kind and treat the majority of the others like crap. With that said, the leadership (99% Indian) even craps on their own kind if they have a lower title than they do. Having worked at very large companies in the past, I wasn't ready for what I encountered at Genpact. People warned me about the culture, but I didn't know what they were talking about. During the interview process I only spoke with non-Indians, so I was unsure what they were talking about. Well, about three months in I knew.

Pros

You can make some good money here. Good place if you need decent pay and do not have a degree

Cons

wildly unreasonable performance expectations with no resources to achieve them. Management listens, but any thing said goes in one ear and out of the other. Work is contract based so they only care about appeasing the client. Shift is monday-friday during business hours, and you can only be absent if you have pto or a docs's note. Also do not have paid holidays, but we are closed on holidays, and pto has to be used for any little thing. No sick time, no BEREAVEMENT TIME, basically no benefits unless you want to pay monthly for insurance you pay out of every single check and still have to pay out of pocket at the doctor.
