Pros

Patient care is rewarding, the co-workers and in house management is nice.

Cons

When I started working for my Hospice in the Southern States, Curo bought us out shortly after. They had a rep get everyone together in a meeting with all sorts of good things to come - nobody's losing their jobs, pay will stay the same for mileage, promised more patients, we could opt in for a company car with gas card, among other things. Shortly after, they started trying to force people to take company cars, and dropped mileage pay for everyone from 45 cents to 28 cents per mile. A great administrative assistant was the first to be let go, then census immediately dropped and several very good RN's and CNA's were let go. Health insurance changed to a company that wasn't good for regular, healthy people and several employees were left looking for new insurance. Curo even told the office staff to remove all but one phone, most likely as a way to cut down on the phone bill. I've heard that Curo has been going after whistleblowers, to prevent potential companies they want to buy from knowing what they're getting in to. That's why I can't say the exact office or state for this review.

Not Really Worth the Headache

Pros

Its a decent job if you enjoy home health and don't like being stuck in a building or on a unit for 8 or 12 hour shifts. Bonuses for any after hour work.

Cons

No work and home life balance. Unreasonable hours; working regular 8hr shifts monday through friday just to turn around and be on call from 5pm until 8am 2-3 times a week then beginning work again at 8am until 5pm. Its a rat race. Caseloads are unreasonable.
