DRAMA! Local offices run by nurses with no leadership ability or training.

Pros

A paycheck, but i took a $2.55/hour pay cut coming from Compassus (formerly Optum Hospice.)

Cons

Bad HR, iffy benefits. Not able to roll over PTO to following year. Corporate, dollar-driven. Not enough chux, wipes, and briefs. Order supplies for new patients and wait 7-10 days for it to come in. No supplies in stock because that would be wasteful. Office ED's are enoucraged to keep things on the cheap to increase their $$$. Then they micromanage everything down to the ground. Corporate telling us to DC patients in AZ, while they sit in NC. Terrible corporate environment with Curo. maybe Humana can get it turned around, but local office reputations are garbage in the local communities because they cannot deliver what they promise.

Pros

Local team is great, wonderful field of work

Cons

Curo cares about money over their employees every time - cut staff down to bare bones, continually ups quotas...... quotas in hospice ...... but I understand they have to make a profit but they are doing so at the cost of employees health and safety Company constantly offers rewards for employees that they never get , gift cards, shirts ect to get staff to make goals and then they never show up. Middle level managers are aggressive and rude . Hr staff at cooperate is absolutely the worst, if you need assistance with beinifts, leave , ect you should expect them to just never respond untill it’s to late and then tell you it’s a policy to do x y z ie not pay you for time worked , when you asked where to find the policy they can not find it . Company is ethical in making sure services are being given and documented accurately but at the cost of employee privacy they litteraly track you every step with the device you are required to use. No money is provided for continuing education, in this money is very much slotted for huge elaborate meals and incentives to contractors.
