      A Good Place to Work

      Pros

      Friendly, collegial atmosphere. Lots of good programmers and business analysts. Well defined work flow and processes. Nice office environment. Overall, I felt that Geosol was run pretty much the way I would run a company if I were in charge.

      Cons

      Lots of old code that is difficult to understand and upgrade. Even the newest code is using 10 year old technology (ASP.NET Web Forms.)

      Growing out of control

      Pros

      Most of the people I work with day to day are great. “Local” employees are able to work from home 4 days a week. (Radius is 75 miles)

      Cons

      Employees are severely unappreciated, undervalued, and overworked. They cannot hire talent because the benefits are way below what other IT companies offer, and yet the president expects us to work as if we were FAANG workers (president has compared us to such). Management listens to complaints, but little is ever done as a follow up. Every praise given is general, and followed up with how we need to keep it up and work harder. No bonus given this year because we met 0 of our deliverables and yet there has been no reflection on management’s part, or demonstration of what will change so that won’t happen again.

      We appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. We do hire top talent, 65 new hires just this year to date alone. As for benefits and bonuses, a bonus has never been guaranteed and should be used as an incentive. Our benefits package is reviewed each year and stays competitive with the current job market: offering company-paid health insurance to every employee, 20 days of PTO each year, and an extravagant end-of-year company holiday party, just to name a few. Lastly, management does their best to address all employee concerns, especially during the management Q&A held every few weeks during the weekly company-wide call.       Pros

      Coworkers at friendly, no layoffs, option to be fully remote.

      Cons

      Company is taking on more work than they can handle which leads to burnt out employees, and no signs of stopping. There is no time to do things right, only fast, and the product is suffering. New employees are set up to fail because no one has time to help or train them completely. They love to say PTO is generous but it is average at best considering sick days are included and you have to work most bank holidays (plus Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve). Owners message is always "good work but do more". Very easy to feel unappreciated.
