Pros

A Strong creative team is beneficial to keeping our clients satisfied.

Cons

New CEO is bringing along sweeping corporate-like changes. Work from home has been taken away eliminating ALL flexibility which was one of the few perks at work. Work life balance is clearly not important and this new announcement has brought morale down even further. The negative environment is now even worse.

Pros

I had an awesome time at GPJ over the 6 years I was there. Great culture, great people, amazing clients and fun events. They worked hard and they played hard. I am blessed to have many friends from my time at GPJ.

Cons

OK pay, but you need to negotiate high going into the business because it's rare the big pay rises will happen. The only time I had a significant pay rise was being counter offered after a job offer from a competitor. There wasn't much focus on training and development of staff, and as a result people sadly moved away. Senior Management politics were at play about the time I was leaving which led to very low morale.

Pros

Opportunity to excel at process for a large client is a pro at this job. Mastery and diligence with mandatory processes pays off with clients. You are able to manage you own timelines and to some extend your relationships with repeat clients.

Cons

Too much drain of time and abilities are used for purely process of clients event management leaving little time to collaborate with clients for creative and out of the box thinking. Options for other positions are limited to major client account and not enough potential to expand to other account job roles and positions. The experience gained from the one major account in the Austin office does not transfer well to the larger portfolio of the company This slows down growth potential.
