      My opinion and advice: Stay away from lawyer positions in Mahwah!

      Pros

      Good experience, but a terrible job.

      Cons

      I thought the legal department in Mahwah was just a terrible place to work. The only metric I saw there was "staying late" (don't worry about being productive or effective--you just need to stay late!). They're always hiring for legal in Mahwah b/c of relatively high turnover in my opinion. I know this is hard to believe, but you really are better off at a law firm than being in-house counsel in Mahwah!

      Micromanagement Very Poor Senior Leadership Starting at CEO Poor Mid Management: Unexperienced, babysitters, not helpers Products behind competition No new product releases: no acquistions Really just a franchisee for Getinge Switzerland which increases pricing of products Managers spend more time micromanaging then lending value to sales cyce

      Pros

      Benefits are great. Easy work for the most part - same stuff day in and day out - good for the person that like repetitive work, and happy with not ever getting above the position you were hired for.

      Cons

      They give the weakest raises ever, I only got .40 cents for a raise this past year. Management is allowed to be derogatory towards employees, if one tries to file harassment charges, you are told if you do, and you are proven in the wrong that you can be held up on defemination and slander. I thought filling for harassments meant you wouldn't have any retribution no matter the turn out.. NOT at Getinge. I was told today to get a Lawyer and go after them - and this was from another Lawyer, saying Getinge is breaking laws with their procedures and polices.
