Pros

Health and wellness facilities. That’s about it.

Cons

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to provide an honest perspective for anyone considering employment here. While the company may offer opportunities on the surface, the internal environment is challenging and, at times, toxic. There is a noticeable culture of favoritism, where advancement and recognition are often based on personal relationships rather than merit or performance. Backchanneling and backstabbing are unfortunately common, creating an atmosphere of mistrust among colleagues. Constructive feedback is rarely welcomed, and speaking up about concerns can lead to being isolated or overlooked. Leadership, and middle useless managers tends to protect favorites and ignore valid concerns, which not only demoralizes employees but also stifles innovation and collaboration. If you’re someone who values transparency, fairness, and psychological safety in the workplace, this may not be the best fit. Not everything is negative—there are smart, hard-working people here who try to make the best of it—but until the underlying culture is addressed, the environment will continue to be difficult.

Pros

Salary and benefits are excellent. Patient centricity still at core of those at ED and lower. Not C suite or VPs.

Cons

Favoritism is wide spread and causing “quiet quitting” amongst those who are talented employees. It is rising to an alarming rate. People are just staying at Gilead for high pay and RSUs but no longer putting effort in due to favoritism towards less competent employees. KB, a favorite of upper leadership, in MM, needs to be replaced as her department is in shambles.

Pros

The facilities are nice and they have a gym and wellness center there. However, you don't have time to go when you are working.

Cons

The leadership lacks direction, frequently promoting unqualified individuals while sidelining experienced personnel. There's a troubling trend where the first to voice complaints, even if baseless, receive undue credibility over others who are blameless. I've observed instances where male colleagues, including those in senior positions, unfairly target women during meetings, resorting to recording devices and fabrications to undermine them. Despite multiple complaints to HR highlighting these injustices, both HR and leadership dismissed the concerns and further marginalized the women affected. If you are a woman or a decent human being I would avoid working here at all costs.
