In Sales, Employees are treated poorly. You are never treated as part of the team, and you don't really feel like you belong there, as the question you will be asked till your last day is 'what have you done for us' rather than 'what can we do together'. Sales leadership will go to any length to save their jobs with the private equity bosses, and the consequence is that employees in Sales are treated very poorly and the management has no tolerance for any differing views or feedback. If you open your mouth, be prepared to be thrown out. If you are trying to take up a job here, be prepared for last minute surprises in your offer letter like a lower designation or lower salary compared to what was verbally discussed, and that is a good sample of the kind of culture you are getting into on the Sales side, and you will see that continue in the Sales goals, benefits etc.. It is a perfect reflection of the CSO and his next level reportees' personalities who are totally aligned to the CSO, and don't care about what is the right thing to do, or what is right for the organisation. It all boils down to them saving their jobs, by allowing the CSO to save his job. Not an iota of Sales personnel engagement!!
