Pros

Great concept, even if somewhat dated. Decent place to work. Reasonable pay and on time. Benefits in line with the industry.

Cons

Management style fashioned, driven and dictated from the top. Do not question the big man.

Pros

Meal plan was only $4 for every shift you worked. If you like buffet food it can be a good deal. Money was good during the weekends and busy days (you can make well above minimum wage). Nice to get paid in tips and many customers were nice.

Cons

Meal plan was mandatory and you were told you can only eat once per shift, even if you worked a very long shift. Many customers would not tip since it was a buffet. Overall, you are overworked and not respected as a worker. As a server you have to: bus/clean tables, wipe down food bars, clean bathrooms (yes as a server if the bathroom is dirty you have to clean it), fill silverware/plate bins, and much more. Servers get less than minimum wage if you don't include tips and are expected to work at a fast pace in all areas of the restaurant. Tips vary greatly and sometimes you barely make minimum wage and if you don't make at least minimum wage, your hours can get cut due to "performance issues," even if the restaurant is slow. Many other employees (cooks, dishwashers, etc.) get paid less per hour than you do if you include tips and many are bitter about that (can't blame them, they should be paid more). Hours are irregular and your shifts are hardly consistent. Management is poor at best and customers can be very rude. Many customers do not speak English so communication with them can be difficult if only speak English. Servers tend to not work together on side work and tend to focus on only their customers. Overall, serving is only part-time and you only make $ if you have good shifts, and work as many hours as possible.
