Pros

Cannot say enough good things about this company. The founders are approachable, empowering and genuinely interested in their employees' wellbeing. They want this to be the best place you've worked, and it shows. The company mission is meaningful and drives decisions. Management really puts the customer first and are genuinely interested in helping people live happier, healthier lives. Just about everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. This is not a place for big egos. It is a lean, collaborative environment filled with very, very smart people. The work is challenging, and you're encouraged to apply new processes and ways of thinking. There's no "that's how we've always done it" here. Lots of growth means lots of new challenges. You likely will not be bored. The office must be one of the best in Santa Monica. Breathtaking views of the beach, right off the promenade. Free snacks and lunches. I could go on. Comp is competitive and the company is growing at a great pace.

Cons

You're expected to be proactive and have a "roll up your sleeves" mentality here. Although not quite a startup anymore, that lean, scrappy methodology still exists. For me, this is a great thing , but it's not for everybody!

Pros

Culture - In general everyone is smart, friendly and motivated. I respect and learn from my coworkers and know I can rely on them to deliver on commitments. Equally important, they’re fun people to talk to. - Weekly (company-funded!) happy hours, monthly game nights, twice-weekly catered lunches… the list could go on but overall I’m astounded by the lengths management goes to to keep employees feeling valued and supported. - Leadership makes the effort to be transparent about company performance and strategy. Work - I find my work to be generally challenging, interesting, and impactful. As a startup, GoodRx still has areas where a little bit of work can dramatically improve the business. I’ve regularly been asked to take on hard projects and had to stretch to find the resources in the company, on the internet, and in myself to accomplish the goal. - Finding ways to help people access lower drug prices is meaningful work, and as far as I’ve been able to tell this mission is consistently kept top-of-mind from high level strategy down to day-to-day decision-making. Growth - The company as a whole has been growing very fast. What this means is that there’s room for employees to take on new responsibilities, and that the overall atmosphere is one of optimism.

Cons

At times things can feel disorganized and if you have a rigid sense of what your work should entail you might struggle. I've found that delineation of responsibilities between teams is not always crystal clear - more than once I’ve embarked on a project and found that another team has independently been tasked with a similar project. Meeting times are treated more as suggestions than as a fixed schedule.

Pros

Incredible leadership from the top. They will work alongside you and constantly ask for feedback, constructive criticism, and collaboration. Exploding in popularity and profit, it's exciting to see how fast it's growing week by week. People are great to work with, the "difficult types" are weeded out pretty fast. New ideas are always welcome, free lunches and standard start-up perks are all there. I'm not sure how all departments work, but mine in particular, we're all focused on helping each other and making each other, and the product, better.

Cons

Standard growing pains of any rapidly growing startup (middle management, dealing with competitors, running out of space with so many new employees)
