Pros

- Talented and collaborative teammates across engineering and product. - Mission to make healthcare more affordable is genuinely motivating. - Flexible remote work policy and good work-life balance in most teams. - Compensation is competitive, especially with benefits like (actual, reasonable) unlimited PTO. - Leadership is generally transparent during all-hands and Q&A sessions.

Cons

- Technical debt and legacy systems slow down progress. - Engineering org has undergone frequent reorgs and shifting priorities, creating instability. - Some teams operate in silos, making cross-team collaboration harder than it should be. - Product decisions can feel reactive rather than strategic at times. - Career advancement paths and leveling expectations are not always clear or consistent.

Laid off within the first year

Pros

There were a lot of good benefits at the start.

Cons

The layoffs there were some of the worst, I'd ever experienced. We were laid off in a Zoom meeting and they turned off our cameras, microphone, and chat functions. The person who told us we were losing our jobs didn't have to look at us. I've undergone layoffs before, and I'd never experienced something like this. It was an incredibly demoralizing and dehumanizing experience. My position was created and terminated in a matter of months. If you're worried about layoffs, please don't work here. More are sure to come.

Pros

Free health insurance, lunches, etc.

Cons

Constant layoffs left and right. No longterm vision. Lower pay. Undriven people who thrive in conflict. I do not look forward to meetings with teams because some of them just want to argue and fight. They have a chip on their shoulder and do not want to grow. Good for those straight out of college. Anyone with 4+ years stay away. You’ll be stuck
