Pros

The people on the quoting team are *chef's kiss* and Jeff P is an excellent leader. Extremely supportive environment if you get into the quoting team. There's job security and the company is always growing (annual revenue went up every year for last 4-5 years) They promote internally, and most analysts get promoted in 12 months to sr analyst Idek if this is a pro but there's a $5k annual bonus, and some of the best performing reps only make around $4.5k of this. Average ~4k. Taxed heavily.

Cons

Overworked and severely understaffed team Need to work OT often just to stay afloat due to excessive workload Pay is below average for FA's in the Greater Boston area ($24/hr) Backend Excel work, you don't develop transferable skills 95% of the time you spend there Average tenure for people while I was there was ~1 year and that says a lot Your activity will be tracked, especially when WFH (>15 minutes away? You'll get a warning) If you're a workhorse you'll just get more work, because the quote requests from impatient sales reps never stop lol Work hard to get promoted to Sr Analyst only to make $26/hr instead of $24/hr Honestly just a stepping stone position out of college, and you can leave in 6-8 months to get 20k more base pay alone in Greater Boston.

Pros

-Gained transferrable experience/skills as an entry level employee -Benefits are good -Teammates were great in my department

Cons

-Low pay. Upper management is INCREDIBLY reluctant to listen to their employees when they say they are not being paid enough (compared to other companies in Boston). In the long run, they end up wasting time and money contantly training new employees. By the time you know what you’re doing you leave because you aren’t making enough. -Get in, get experience, get out. There isn’t enough opportunity to look forward to in terms of growing your career at Granite in the long run. -There is a lot of animosity between departments. As a “sales focused” company, theres an overall lack of respect and very little comradery between sales/Premiers. -Work from home policy is very rigid. Everyone is forced to come in 4 days a week with very little explanation as to why— regardless of surges in COVID. -There are legitimate fake reviews of Granite online written by employees pretending to be customers. Do better.
