Thank you for your constructive feedback. We know our employees and communities makes Great Hearts unique and special. We have been engaged in ongoing work on this issue for several years despite no significant funding increases from the states in which we operate, and simultaneously we must balance the need to maintain smaller class sizes, robust network resources, and safe and welcoming campuses. Great Hearts does provide excellent benefits (medical, dental, etc.) with employee premiums that are significantly below the national and regional averages. We have recently reviewed and increased salaries for many roles at our academies and home office positions. We are also aware of the retention rates in the Education.

We believe the best learning environments for our students include having a well trained staff that works together to give the students the very best. In particular, our training includes a lead teacher working with a teaching apprentice/assistant in each elementary classroom who is learning teaching strategies and how to be a good teacher. Our TAs are placed through a rigorous training program and are trained by lead teachers and staff to be an integral part of our academies. We also have a training program for our leadership and prepare them for administrative roles. Our compensation package has been an area that we have been working to improve. Great Hearts does provide excellent benefits (medical, dental, etc.), with employee premiums that are significantly below the national and regional averages. As of the 2024-2025 school year, we have increased the salaries of our current and new teachers. We know there is always room for improvement and sometimes we fall short in some areas.
