Super toxic work environment

Pros

You get to try cases and fight for crime victims.

Cons

Management does nothing to control the toxic work environment. The office has an overly competitive environment. The elected prosecutor only talks to you to tell you that you’ve done something bad - never recognizes contributions.

Pros

Benefits and flexibility of schedule. Most of my coworkers were amazing and they were like family.

Cons

Toxic work environment. Lack of support from HR and upper management. In a meeting, shared with the supervisor and HR about being cussed out by coworkers, yelled at, and the toxic environment at the employee workplace. HR responded with “then why do you still work here?” HR would not look at 20+ pages of documentation about the work environment and the supervisor. They said they trust their supervisor’s perspective. They would not talk to coworkers to prove the inconsistency and inaccurate accusations from the supervisor. So, you are completely defenseless as an employee, even with documentation.

Cons

Poor management, employees not held accountable for poor performance. Very little to no opportunity for advancement. Negative atmosphere.
