Applicants Beware

Pros

Weekly pay (changing in January) Set schedule Some coworkers were decent

Cons

Managing partner is an unfeeling robot who is more worried baout money than her employees. You are not permitted to use whiteout because it's too expensive and she has several employees turning old files that have been sittiing in a warehouse (some for as long as 25 years) into scrap paper to be reused because she is too cheap to purchase actual paper. You can only use new paper for things going in the mail or to the court. There is either absolutely nothing to do or you are inundated with work. Middle management is a bunch of middle aged women who have never taken a day off in their lives and make it your problem. Extremely cliquey environment where the employees talk about you behind your back. Any kind of complaint is immediately referred to HR who is one man who doesn't even work in the building and is a nightmare to deal with. They will not train you and then will blame you when something is done incorrectly. The turn around rate at this company is enough to give you whiplash. I was hired 6 months ago and almost none of the people who work there now, worked there in April.

Poor leadership

Pros

If candor is the cornerstone for these reviews, it is certain opportunity to learn what NOT to do when managing a law firm by observing your bosses shortcomings and avoid adopting such traits

Cons

If it seems like the job market is dismal, keep on forging on to secure that dream job because if you are not patient you may have to compromise with working at Griffin Alexander, a firm ridden with poor management that operates its firm like a paper mill and has problems passing the salt (or throw a bone) to their hard working employees. Young job seekers: you will not regret sparing yourself the humiliation working for this organization. Many personality flaws and they will penny pinch you to the very end for your well deserved reimbursements for gas and fuel when using your vehicle on business.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We understand how important it is for employees to feel respected and fairly treated, and we’re genuinely sorry to hear you don’t feel that’s been your experience. We have thoughtful policies in place for expense reimbursements to help ensure consistency and fairness across the board. When questions or concerns do come up, we always aim to address them considerately and in good faith-we never want to deny any employee a legitimate reimbursement, and we aim to process all requests responsibly. If you believe something hasn’t been handled correctly, we encourage you to reach out to your supervisor or the Managing Partner so we can take a closer look and clarify any questions you may have. We’re committed to having a workplace where people feel supported and where expectations are clear, and we appreciate feedback that helps us always stay in that direction.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We’re sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. We do see things differently in terms of management’s care and investment in the team- we know how important it is for people to feel supported, connected, and invested in. Part of that includes listening to our employees. Your suggestion about more opportunities for employees to collaborate is valuable, and if you’re open to it, we’d like the opportunity to hear more about your ideas directly. We value honest feedback, especially from our current team members, to help us constantly improve.
