Pros

Free coffee! No other pros at this time.

Cons

Significant deficiency in leadership and prevalence of favoritism is evident within the organization. The leadership primarily recruits individuals from their personal networks in previous companies, creating an environment of limited engagement and diminished employee morale. It is crucial to be cautious as there is a high likelihood of job outsourcing to India. The notion of diversity is regrettably undermined, with a mere 15 employee resource groups existing at Guardian, which, given the circumstances, are insufficient. While commendable that there are such groups, their potential is not effectively harnessed due to the inadequate knowledge and expertise demonstrated by the leadership. It is imperative for the company to undertake meaningful actions that substantiate the merits of the acclaimed diversity "rewards" they boast about. A wakeup call is in order. The organization must instigate a comprehensive transformation in its treatment of all employees, ensuring that each individual is granted the respect they duly deserve, rather than solely focusing on relationships with favored individuals.

Pros

Work from home, decent benefits.

Cons

Salary increases might as well be non-existent, micro-managed constantly, QA is mostly nonsense, TLs play favorites, constantly told to fill out surveys that no one cares about and certainly don't change anything, worst tech systems ever, something is always broken, too much outsourcing, Guardian India and offshore call centers employees way outnumber US ones. Worst, they go against their own stated values; people do not count if you work there.

Pros

Get to help people, remote, people tell me all day how amazing and thankful they are. They make it worth it, not this company.

Cons

Follow strict adherence, management too busy to offer assistance, case managers never in office (they control the claims reviews), expected to go above and beyond for a company that doesn't do the same. No flexibility, no paid time off and unscheduled PTO (2 week notice) still has to be made up that week, even if you need the whole day.
