Culture is Slipping

Pros

- Diverse array of clients and there are growing teaming opportunities across the larger practices - It's possible to be in leadership in your 30s and 40s (although leadership is mostly white and 50+) - There is a desire to better merge public and commercial sector offerings to be more holistic and creative, for legacy-Navigant, it's been interesting to see where post-merger there's an increasing focus on solutions not just management consulting offerings - Compensation is good although benefits and bonus are just okay.

Cons

- Culture is increasingly falling by wayside. Guidehouse is just plain stingy with morale builders, nickel and dimes on things like travel/expense, team events, which makes you feel like you're a productivity machine not a person. The fluff emails are not enough to reinforce culture, it's starting to feel very bogus. Put your money where your mouth is. - Whereas legacy Navigant offered reasonable work/life balance, increasingly long hours, especially now that we're all remote, frequently working on weekends and talking to people who rarely have a day off. - Recent hiring has not been so great - the junior hires are strong but the hires coming in at the mid- and senior-level do not seem committed to a culture where those selling projects don't act like sharks. They're also not well exposed broadly beyond a solution or business line so there's less collaborative opportunities. - Too much ego and trying to angle for top dog at senior level with a strong trickle down pressure on mid-level staff to sell, sell, sell. Needs to be A LOT more attention paid to the quality of work being executed and have some D/P level folks focused on execution while others are focused on sales.

- Only con is to include better on boarding process with the designated team in order to get acclimated with the project/work.
