Pros

Generally has a fun crew to work with Decent discount Opportunity to experience new gear and network with people in the music industry.

Cons

Managers do not care about the people under them Pro-coverage, the insurance that doesn't even really work anymore, is pushed so hard that the job is insufferable Must be willing to screw up people's credit by letting 18-year-olds apply for credit cards to finance gear they can't afford Sales associates barely get commission anymore and corporate is pushing for managers to take sales from employees so that the company doesn't have to pay out as much.

Pros

Decent gear discounts. Fun people to work with (for the most part).

Cons

Management DOES NOT CARE who you are, how hard you work, or who's beneath them. They will screw you over as quickly as possible the second it's convenient. You will watch your fellow employees get their lives ruined by decisions made by higher-ups that have no idea what's going on on the ground level of the company.

Pros

Great team, interesting consumer base, cool gear, music industry, discounts and deals.

Cons

Teams are paid below market value from Store Manager down. Leadership is extremely closed minded and will not entertain an opinion or thought that differs from their own. This has created a culture of going through the motions vs adoption of new ideas to grow the organization. No real opportunity to grow due to pre-determined favoritism. Will ask for your opinion but clearly only interested if it matches the narrative. Reduced labor in the stores by 50% then said don't blame reduced staffing on low morale and 150% increase in shrink. All of which directly aligned, chronology.
