Pros

Employees are very proud of the work they do and give 110%. It stills feels like a small company with large company benefits. The products are amazing!

Cons

Gulfstream USED to be a great place to work, and many employees referred to colleagues as their "Gulfstream family." The exponential growth over the last few years has changed that, and the growth has not been managed well. The company has become very "corporate" and employees are just a number. It can be very difficult to navigate the "good 'ol boy" system at Gulfstream which is alive and well. It's even more difficult if you're a woman.

Pros

Good pay for the area, 4/10 schedule, a small bonus twice a year, they make a highly regarded aircraft, lots of change which is ok if you can handle it.

Cons

Grew too fast, promoted terrible managers who don't listen and implement bad policies that only benefit them. Don't allow you to bring in outside knowledge or ways to improve. The company has tried several times to be "Top 100 places to work" but has failed miserably each time. Felt like I lost knowledge instead of gained it here.

Pros

Good pay, most of the time get at least a week off at Christmas, plus a few more days for new years, then add in saved vacation, easily have at least two weeks off during Christmas holidays

Cons

Management is like a vacuum cleaner it s__ks. So many managers don't have engineering degrees. Therefore no appreciation for what most engineers did to get their degree. Management is arrogant donkey a__h__s. Maybe that is why they are managers. Just have to ignore them. Do you job. Collect the pay check. One of my managers favorite engineer did not even know what pneumatic meant. Maybe that is because she was a high school drop-out, that somehow had been with company so long and made into engineering somehow. What a joke.
