Good company to start at

Pros

Laid back atmosphere. Managers are willing to work with your schedule and understand you have a life outside of work. Good place to learn

Cons

Pay is not very competitive. Work force is mostly young engineers so there are not a lot of older colleagues to learn from. Benefits are not the best. 401k matching is a joke (but at least they are matching a little). Job schedules keep getting squeezed down.

Pros

Decent working conditions. They do provide benefits but they are expensive. They provide a 401k but don't pay enough to be able to contribute.

Cons

Been with the company over 3 yrs and have yet to get a raise. Won't even discuss it...... same reply..... "it's not in the budget." Is it in your budget to replace someone like myself with an exceptional work ethic & 30 yrs. experience?!? AND not missed a day since I started! Pay is below the 2010 median as determined by the Dept. of Labor & Statistics!! Look it up! Communication is non-existent. A yr. now that company was bought by Haeco. Where are we going? How are we going to get there? What the heck is going on?

Pros

Long term stability, growth oriented, focus on continuous improvement. Company has a robust training department and an ever increasing benefits package. Very family oriented with a large commitment to employees work/life balance. Who else gives you 4 weeks of PTO day one?

Cons

Below market wages. The company does seem to struggle in its policies as it transitions from a local, small company to a global player in the industry. Hopefully the recent acquisition with HAECO quickly puts them on the right path.
