Pros

Harvey is an unusually high-caliber place to work. The team is smart, ambitious, and deeply mission-oriented, and there is a strong culture of ownership. People are trusted to take on meaningful scope quickly, and the pace of learning is very high. The product is also genuinely exciting: it is rare to work on something where the customer demand, technical ambition, and market timing all feel this strong. Leadership is accessible, direct, and willing to make decisions quickly, which helps the company move fast without too much bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace is intense, and the company is still evolving quickly, so this is not the right environment for someone looking for a highly structured or predictable role. Priorities can shift as the business scales, and teams often need to operate with imperfect information. There is also a high bar for ownership and communication, which can be challenging but is mostly a function of the company’s stage and ambition.

Thanks for sharing this and also for your callout on speed and talent density, you're spot on. I think your point on decision making and career development is more than reasonable--keep the feedback coming and we'll keep working to improve on it. Sincerely, Katie

Best Legal AI Company

Pros

Moving from private practice to Harvey has been the best career decision I could've made. First and foremost, the culture is great; collaborative, supportive, fun, balanced, motivating. There's a really flat hierarchy, which enables everyone to have access to leadership and share their vision for the company and product's development. The company also heavily invests in its people, continually rewarding performance and encouraging career development both internally and externally in a meaningful way. The company is incredibly generous when it comes to benefits and compensation, and genuinely respects work/life balance, evenings, weekends and time off. As the leading legal AI tool by far in the market, it attracts the best talent, and so you get to work with truly impressive colleague from different professional backgrounds on actually interesting and challenging work. Harvey knows how to motivate its employees to perform their best while keeping a positive atmosphere. I have recruited a number of my friends to join and can't recommend it enough!

Cons

I have been here for over a year and can't think of any.
