Pros

Good benefits (not pay), dedicated people on the front lines of delivery. Opportunities are there to move from one project to another, if you're willing to just fill in low-level gaps for the company and aren't concerned with advancing your own career. They'll help place you on those projects, just don't expect much in the way of advancement.

Cons

Company orientation to employees is that they are cogs in a machine that can be easily swapped out when they burn out. The front line managers were good at recognizing the value of individual contributors. But at the company HR/Management level, they don't seem to recognize employees as people with careers and aspirations. More like assets in their PPE to be shipped around from project site to project site like a tractor. Senior management, despite their undeniable intelligence, either doesn't understand or doesn't care about the impacts of penny pinching on the ability of front-line employees to be successful in delivering for clients.

HCL had won the bid from another IT company after the contract had expired. A lot of good techs and mangers had left shortly afterwards,due to the many misdirection of HCL.To much micro management. I am unable to communicate with just about any type of management. (Possible language barrier). Very seldom are responses made by email in a timely manner. Closing tickets everyday is a high priority, completed or not. it's amazing how much time is wasted re-opening ticket when they should have never been closed in the first place. The service that HCL is providing is horrible compared to what the service was before they came aboard. There is a constant complaint from the customers that are being served " What happened to the IT department? Do they even know what they are doing?".
