Pros

White Cap has been the leader in the professional contractor supply for years, and most contractors recognize that. It truly is one-stop-shopping. The opportunities for advancement are almost unlimited. The pay is usually good. I say usually because all sales reps are commissioned, and with the downturn in economy, sales are REALLY slow. The compensation and benefits packages are great!

Cons

There a two. Because of the size of the campany, you can sometimes be regarded as a number and not an employee. And again, being an 100% commission isn't the greatese thing in the world.

Pros

Great culture. Team environment. Good people that truly want to improve the company and drive sales and customer engagement. People take pride in their work. Things change all the time so there is lots of opportunity to try new roles, learn a new skill, or just get a different manager.

Cons

Not big believers in work/family balance. Most people do not have flexible schedules, laptops, or tools to enable them to occasionally work from home or leave early when needed.

Pros

Benefits is not that great but it's a lot better than the competition. I know in my heart that HD Supply is a good company to work for in general.

Cons

The real downside working with HD Supply Stockton, is not the company itself in general, but the questionable competence of the senior management and the supervisor itself. Managers and supervisors alike are not that qualified in running the company. Managers for example do not know what's the meaning of "COST EFFECTIVE in running a business like HD Supply. They only "want to get the job done at all cost undermining the safety of its employees by making people work more than the law will allowed. Imagine a centain employee work more than 16 hrs straight, is more like a dead man walking and its a potential candidate for a very serious accident. Some supervisors specially in warehouse 05, needs a very serious training in management. Most of them doesn't know what"is "CONTINGENCY PLAN" is all about. They should know how to run their respective department or area in a most effective manner with great result without sacrificing the safety of those associates that works for them. To summurize the point that i want to make is, both managers and supervisors should open their eyes around them and find out the root of the problems, study them and make a neccesary adjustment and be consistent.
