Pros
The pay is decent relative to the same job outside their franchise
Cons
Lying General managers saying they’ll hire you full time, then radio silence for a year, just for HR to tell you that you need to meet a minimum of 35 hours for six consecutive pay checks. They’ll do everything in their power to keep you two minutes under that threshold. 100% turnover rate in the past year. Infighting with people four pay grades above you, weaponizing schedules by adding and removing days with less than 24 hours and no notice so they can hit their quotas for bonuses. You’re expected to check your schedule app multiple times a day because management refuses to print them after being called out on the unannounced changes. There is also extreme favoritism from management towards baristas, with some just hanging out in the back room for up to three hours at a time, leaving others to pick up that slack. Discipline is also unevenly enforced. Two people can do the exact same documented issue and one of them will never see any action for it.
