Pros

Flex time, salary, office location.

Cons

The workload for account managers is ridiculous. Too many people in management roles trying to pretend they are more important than they are. Management doesn't listen to employee concerns.

Pros

There are many many hard working people here who really care about the quality of the work they do and their customers.

Cons

In the last few years I was employed they hired many staff who walk around and look down their noses at current staff. They come in at 10 take a 2 hour lunch and leave by 3 every day. They have nothing good to say about anyone who didn't work with them at one of their previous employers. rumor was that some are bringing in salaries near 200K. They think that the HUB way of doing business regardless of how successful it's been is flawed. They created a department to service "Large Commercial Real Estate" it was a complete joke they added no value and soon enough from what I've hear the department was eliminated. This caused staff frustration and confusion. No one from management could explain what value this dept brought it only seemed to bring disruption. It's as if they are throwing these people in the mix to see what sticks - no one can quantify the value they bring. Yet they keep bringing in friends of friends of this group and adding more frustration to current staff.

Terrible! Go somewhere else.

Pros

Work/life balance, tuition reimbursement, lunch recognition.

Cons

Medical benefits suck. Most employees are under their spouses' medical insurance because Hub's medical insurance is a nightmare, it's not worth it. You'll just work to pay your medical bills. Salaries are not competitive. CEO and top managers make the real money, everyone else gets a misery, and then they have the nerve to ask employees to donate for a cause. No holiday bonus, instead a miserable $25 gift card.

HUB International Response

Medical benefits and salary are big issues and difficult topics to address in a post. We encourage your feedback on major issues like these in forums such as the employee survey, or even directly with your manager and local HR department. We sincerely want to hear from our employees on areas where we can improve and then take those suggestions to develop new workable solutions, and to understand actions that may be upsetting to employees. We do actively benchmark our benefit programs against peer companies. We are continually seeking ways to help Hub families address the risks associated with the rising cost of healthcare via the increasing choices and voluntary benefits.
