Pros

There are work-from-home opportunities, department-permitting. The organization's sheer size allows for networking opportunities within the insurance industry, something that new hires will definitely want to take advantage of. In general, the facilities themselves are very nice. There ARE still some good people left in the organization, despite the alarmingly-high turnover rate.

Cons

The organization itself is extremely poorly led and operated. The benefits package for employees, in particular, is shameful for an insurance brokerage, and the company has a reputation for paying well below market-value. Inter-department communication is very poor; between departments, it's functionally nonexistent. Technology is not this company's friend; the equipment is mostly outdated and glitchy, and many of the systems and servers do not communicate well. The turnover rate is alarmingly high - something clients are starting to take notice of- and the onboarding and training for new hires is basically nonexistent. Newly-acquired firms are not properly integrated into the company, resulting in massive confusion and angst for both clients and internal staff. Nepotism and favoritism are not only present, but pervasive, further contributing to the exceedingly low morale present in many locations. Local leaders often make questionable ethical decisions, all for the sake of EBTIA. HR talks a good game, but is basically feckless with regards to fixing the problems. Despite constantly bragging about its size, the company is not highly regarded in many quarters of the insurance industry, resulting in poor vendor-relations.

Pros

Coworkers and clients are nice. Closed most holidays . Nice office.

Cons

Management act like children. Whispering and gossiping and refusing to speak to people they don’t like. Extremely disorganized . Communication is non existent . High turn over and clients are leaving them at an alarming rate.

Pros

Still trying to figure this out after years. Most of the people are great people to work with and I wish I had better things to say about Hub.

Cons

Mountain States Region The company is top heavy with management while the local offices struggle to keep account managers. The amount of work expected of the account managers is unreasonable. When concerns are given to management they push them aside and do nothing. Because of the lack of respect by management there is no respect of management. There is a bunch of dead weight in management and because of the "Good Old Boy" system nothing will ever be done. Hub brags about all the resources that we have. If you are located in certain offices you get to use the resources otherwise you are struggling to keep up with the local agencies that you are competing with. There is absolutely no training and they are setting up all their employees to fail hence the high turnover. Technology is awful - none of the systems that they use integrate with each other - everything is based on the hedge fund and who profits. Corporate dictates who we can do business with because of contracts and incentives. They do not care about the client needs or relationships with our clients - it all comes down to the bottom line. However, if you party with management you will not be held accountable for anything. The benefits package is terrible. For a company that is pushing voluntary benefits on their clients they offer the worst products to their own employees.
