Pros

I had the privilege of being part of an exceptional work culture, which used to be my absolute favourite. - Despite the occasional monotony that can accompany work, the collective energy of my colleagues made every day something to look forward to. Their motivation was contagious. - Working alongside sharp, smart, and inspiring teammates created an environment that fueled excellence. It pushed me to consistently deliver my best and encouraged continuous learning. - The flexibility in work timings and the empowerment to take ownership of tasks were aspects that contributed to a positive work experience. - Remarkably, my team operated without micromanagement, relying on the high level of collaboration and support among team members, leading to consistent successful deliveries. - In this organization, I not only honed professional skills but also gained a profound understanding of empathy, primarily within my team, distinguishing it as a unique and enriching aspect of my overall experience.

Cons

- The organization underwent two rounds of layoffs due to business decisions, a harsh reality that was, in many ways, beyond individual control. While it's understandable, it was still a challenging period for everyone involved. - Despite numerous feedback and conversations with HR about workplace concerns, the outcomes seemed elusive. For instance, instances of gaslighting and manipulation were brought to light by different people, causing discomfort and affecting mentally. Unfortunately, no visible actions were taken, and the impacted employees were left unaware of the measures implemented to address these issues. - Some colleagues left, either by choice or due to layoffs, and it feels like the end of a special era at Hackerearth. But there's hope that these changes might make the work environment even better. It's a waiting game, and patience is needed as we navigate through this transition. - At times, there were issues with career planning, and it often depended on the specific team and manager. This variability indicates a need for improvement to ensure a more consistent and effective approach to career development throughout the organization.
