Thanks for the feedback, appreciate you taking out time for this. Glad that you have enjoyed solving challenging engineering problems at HackerEarth. Your point about lack of proper career progression is valid and we are continuously working on it, hope to have something concrete soon. With respect to your advice, we would really appreciate if you can share some points on where we went wrong in valuing engineers and how we can make it better. Your feedback will be super helpful for us to improve.

Thank you for taking time out to review us. We deeply value your feedback and continue to work towards being a better employer each day. Agreed we are not the paymaster and travel opportunities are limited as of today but please let us highlight some of the points that you may deem fit while considering employment at HackerEarth: - You will work with some of the best software developers out there in India - You will eat sleep and code excellence - You will learn that teamwork is 2 + 2 = 8 - You will build some of the finest products of your time - You will LOVE your job and your job will love you in return :) We are almost there in terms of putting in place a progressive career path in place for our engineering team. Pros

Company is very frugal so they don't use external services - Few people in the company got to build services which are interesting CS problems CEO is a great and smart man.Though tech experienced attrition. Business teams are very loyal to him.

Cons

Smaller Concerns 1. You pay for your share in the office trips. 2. Your conference tickets are not reimbursed. Though on paper, they say they do. 3. No office lunch 4. I get almost no perks. 5. No equity for software developers Bigger Concerns 1. CTO can be a tough man to work with. He shows a lot of favoritism in the company. He has no product sense and is very immature. He has a habit of belittling people. 2. In every town hall meeting, They sell people on big dreams and how the next year will be very turbulent and everybody has to work hard. A false pretense for a well-off company so they can get more productivity per person. They do not keep their money where their mouth is. No equity options for software developers or bonus. Heard few of them had a very vague bonus clause but management screwed them over during appraisals by not giving bonuses to anyone in that year.
