Pros

Offers commission, potential quarterly bonuses, tips, education

Cons

Commission and pay should be raised over time for improved stylists. I found out that there are other stylists who have a higher base pay than I do even when I have a higher average hourly rate than them and have been with the company for four years. My base pay is at 10 per hour when there’s was at 11, 13, and 14 per hour. I don’t understand why mine stayed at 10 when I could have gotten raises like they did.

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I encourage you to reach out to your Salon or District Leader to walk you through our compensation and commission pay - you mention that we should raise commission - we actually have unlimited commission along with the bonuses that you mentioned. I hard for me to address your comments concerning other stylists making more, without my having more detail - this is why I really want you to partner with your leaders as I am confident that they can work with you to increase your earnings! Also feel free to reach out to the home office and we can partner with you as well! Thanks for all you do :-)

Redo’s

Pros

Continuing education is great. You make good friends and the salon space was nice. Close to home. Opportunity to move up. Good product lines.

Cons

I was fed up having money taken away from me. When a client changes their mind on a color and comes back, why is it taken out of my paycheck to punish me? Never had clarity on redo’s or a smile back guarantee. Starting the week with negative service dollars was so disheartening, it was enough to make me quit. It’s not right! Everyone should be getting paid for services performed. The redo $ should come out of corporates pockets. Not stylists. Instead of a client paying the double dimension price, they figured how not to and you screwed the stylist instead. Pay for an all over color, say it’s too dark and come back for FREE hilights! Free to you, money out of my kids mouths and my pocket for me!
