Pros

There is lots of manufacturing space

Cons

Change in the end is normally a good thing. It makes people adjust, it makes people improve and innovate. Not at Hamilton Company though. When you talk about change here the managers look at you like you have two heads. And if you are naive enough to talk to the owner about change you will get to see what a person looks like that just ate a whole lemon. Dismal is the only way to describe it. This backward thinking attitude has been going on so long, nobody tries any longer. New people come in and new people go out and the only change they see is another new job. Dismal, I tellsya’ dismal

Get in, Get Paid, Get out.

Pros

As they are fully aware of the toxic culture and the failings of every attempted new product, they tend to overpay all support staff to retain them. I would highly recommend starting a career there to pad your bank account and learn how "not to" run a company or treat people. That experience is the most valuable thing the company has to offer you.

Cons

Super toxic internal culture that rewards the "yes" men and women in the organization and punishes anyone with any insight or criticism that is contrary to the misguided hive mind that permeates the company. Both workers and CUSTOMERS are treated poorly. It is regular practice to threaten to cut off support to customers who behave in a way that Hamilton proper disapproves of. Unless you are a "yes man/woman" or in the "club" there is no possibility of promotion. This goes doubly so if you show any interest in making the company "better".

Intimidation and Cynicism Rule Here

Pros

Very nice facility Lots of outdoor activities in the Reno area

Cons

- Very simply put, it’s not a good company to work for. - There is a cap on performance raises no matter how good of a job you do. This is great for the owner’s bottom line profits but it removes all incentives to preform. - There is huge dysfunction between departments. That competitive edge that keeps things interesting has long ago disappeared at Hamilton. It has been replaced by mistrust and infighting. - The inefficiency that results from the ancient data management system Hamilton uses is hard to believe. - Healthcare is basic and there is a dangerous issue with third party underwriters denying coverage on procedures ordered. - Hamilton matches your 401K contribution ONLY after you have been employed for 5 years.
