Pros

Hannaford has a great new My Hannaford Rewards program that provides associates with 6% rewards on all Hannaford Store Brand items.

Cons

Senior Leadership is very disconnected with the true culture of the organization. Leaders care more about their job title than their associates. The company keeps getting larger, but the benefits keeps getting worse.

Terrible Company

Pros

Absolutely none. Just a slave for a paycheck

Cons

Everything about this company is terrible. Management is the main issue. Yes men is what the company wants and they love to pick and choose who they throw the book at. Policy is randomly enforced and many safety standards are not followed in center store.( Worked in two stores). Criticism is all you can expect when you are doing more than required and 11 hour days is expected. Schedule is never flexible giving only weekends off to higher managers. Management also is not found on the sales floor helping and likes to turn a blind eye to problems that need to be addressed only for later on to put the blame on you. Pay is stagnant and asking for a raise is pointless so many new hires will be next to you on the pay scale no matter how much experience you have. Benefits are also terrible and continue to get worse each year.

Pros

Salaried managers are paid ok... Paid time off for tenured associates is a perk... Distribution centers and trucking are best of the best...

Cons

- Matching 401k disappeared recently... - Major payroll cuts leading into holiday season (sales increase, workload increases, expectations increased, labor DECREASED? Really?) - Obsolete equipment/technology at retail level making necessary tasks very difficult to accomplish in time given - little to no investment in associate training/retention, turnover rate laughably high. - all tasks are metric based and unrealistic with the labor provided by labor analysis and productivity. - toxic culture among "leadership" (use that term VERY loosely) runs downhill to the associate level - nobody is happy and satisfied with their job - fear based leadership. Store leadership more concerned with being "good worker bees" for "corporate leadership" that they drop the hand of the customer and sales are stagnant.
