      Pros

      Overall friendly staff, including managers. Flexible schedules. You can take time off when you need it. You can set your availability, promotions and opportunities to advance your career are available to you.

      Cons

      Not all managers listen to ideas that fellow associates have. Sometimes associates ideas/opinions are overlooked by managers. It's very corporate feeling.

      Much has changed in six years..

      Pros

      Helpful and friendly co-workers. Pleasant interactions with customers. Adequate training. Environmentally progressive.

      Cons

      Arbitrary policy changes with no explanation. Unless you are full time...and that would be a fairly small number of employees..you can expect to get the minimum hours in your category. I am part-time flex(28-38 hours) and for some time now am getting only the minimum,and have been told to expect the same in the future. I understand managers are not getting their bonuses,even though our store had a record-breaking season. I think the worst thing that happened to Hannaford Bros. was being acquired by Delhaize....we must help pay for their missteps re/Food Lion etc. On a store level,there is much favoritism/nepotism..it's not what you know,but who you know. With the hours being cut,staffing is quite inadequate for the work that needs to be done,with the result being customers are poorly served and employee burnout and low morale.
