Something good that I experienced working at Harbor Freight was the pay and the employees I worked with

Cons

Mainly Harbor Freight isn't an ideal place to work at. The management in the store would post the schedule and at the last-minute change it without telling anyone but would write you up if you missed so many days. Management also rarely worked and only barked orders. They took advantage of the hard workers yet let the lazy people get away with whatever.

Toxic work environment with good pay to trap you there

Pros

The pay is some of the best for retail. Not an exaggeration, it pays better than any other retail store in my city which is the only reason I haven't left yet. Benefits are decent.

Cons

Constantly being berated and belittled by management. He calls me stupid and lazy behind my back, and has shared those sentiments with a corporate team I was trying to join to escape the store level, so they stopped replying to me. When I approached higher management with my concerns, I was told that I had a lack of common sense. A manager in another store in my district has had multiple sexual harassment complaints and nothing has been done as far as we can tell. Afraid to go to HR because of potential retaliation. They don't do anything to protect you against DMs or SMs. It wasn't always like this, an old manager was amazing and cared about your career development, but she left to go to a different store.
