Connection with students. Making an impact on students from your community

Cons

Very low pay and zero job security. My courses that I planned was handed to other faculty with more seniority 3 days before semester started. I went from teaching 4 classes to 1. They had the audacity to say I’ll be able to come back next semester.

Low salaries. No advancement. The administration is disconnected from the true concerns of employees and the community. The administration is more interested in imposing its control through institutional hierarchy and bureaucracy.
