Pros

Pre-pandemic Hasbro was very positive. Generous PTO and half day Fridays. Day-of screenings for the films we supported (Marvel and Star Wars as well as Hasbro owned IP) Brian Goldner wasn’t perfect but The Senior Leadership Team truly cared and was aware of how their actions impacted people. Fantastic culture

Cons

Current leadership has many confused and anxious. No clear direction. They act like a toy company that doesn’t want to make toys anymore. The quality of leadership has dropped significantly in 5 years. Return to office rollout has been botched and is more about control than efficiency and effectiveness. Pay has not kept pace with industry. Move to Boston has everyone panicking. Little opportunity for advancement.

Out of touch leadership

Pros

Hasbro still has good benefits including strong PTO, company shutdown weeks, and flexibility. But some exceptional benefits, especially for parents, like 1/2 day Fridays and maximum hybrid flexibility are being eliminated in favor of control and moving towards an "always on" culture. Amazing brands and amazing potential to get back to the company it used to be with strong values that the executive team lived and breathed - this executive team is not there and might not be able to get there.

Cons

Constant layoffs are demoralizing and create an atmosphere of instability and constant anxiety. RTO mandate is clearly not about culture, but control. The executive leadership team is very clearly out of touch with the teams on the ground. Likely move to Boston creating additional layer of anxiety for many employees. CEO is incapable of even saying hello to employees let alone showing them they are valued. Corporate culture is set by the CEO and Chris C clearly shows that valuing employees and colleagues is not part of that culture unless you're part of his DnD inner circle.
