Great Employees; Horrible Management
Pros
The vast majority of the employees are great. As always, there are a few rotten apples in the bunch, but they are exceedingly outweighed by the good ones. I met a lot of people there that I would take a bullet for. They have a work week that is half day Fridays and the hours are made up Monday-Thursday. Employee toy store where you can get cheap toys.
Cons
Horrible management! Can you say Einstein's definition of insanity? This is pretty much top to bottom for management too. There are some excellent managers there, but too few and far between and heavily outnumbered to make any real impact. I worked there for a long time and nothing ever improved. Oh, they tried, and they threw money out the window for new systems and processes that made no impact. In the good times ($$$$$) they hire and spend with no thought for the future so when the hard times ($) come, they just end up laying people off. Unfortunately, this is the culture of Hasbro, and without some serious effort by executive management, nothing will ever change.
